to edit or access any of the hosts settings login to cpannel (cpannel is anopen source stamdard for editing your site) log into arvixe and click on (rubberstampplantation.net)

click the login button next to (cPannel) enter the same credentials you used to login to arvixe.com
there should never be a reason to login to cPanel, its used to set sites up and edit them. i gave you this info so anyone in the future trying to edit the site has a quick easy time doinig it.

opencart is a opensource prebuilt shopping cart framework (all the code has been written free of charge this includes the front end and the backend) the front end is what people see when they type in your address i.e. rubberstampplantation.com (all the content is built from the database back end) the backend is how u edit and administer your content for your site, this is all kept in the database, and the backend is how u add change and modify the content for your site
opencart is a plugin for your web host,either you or your host install it, think of it like a plugin for photoshop that adds enhanments. its a pre writen/coded mysqli database system. google for info

quick break down of how the backend interface works
what a catagory is
a category is a menu item type, decsls, stamps, stencils are all category items and parent items. hawiian petro stamps is also a category but is a child of the stamp parent category
how to add or edit a catagory
click on the blue plus icon located on the top right hand side of the screen
you sill see the screen below
Click on the category tab
there are two main tabs to fill out general and data. general is where you fill out the name description and meta tags. data is where you link the new category to a parent cstegory
to link a child to a parent type the first few letters untill you see it in the drop down menu, then click on it to link it like the image below
that is how you add a child cadegory to a parent category
how to add or edit a product
click on the products tad, find the item then click on the blue edit icon
you should then see this
the general tab is where you edit name and meta tags
the data tad is where u edit the image, the price and whether to enable or disable the item
the link tab is where u link the product to the parent and child category. click inside the category and type the first few letters until u see the category in the drop down list like the image above.
the options tab is where u edit and add color options. creating a product with this option from scratch is not advised, since u would need to add each color from the pre defined set. instead, select a similar product checkmark the box and select copy from the top men
by default the copy is disabled, make sure to enable it on the data tab at the botom of the screen
other than that just refill in the înfo for the new item. make sure u change the image and the product model number and new price in both the data tab and discount tad, the discount tab is where u set the wholesale price for wholesale customers, make sure u have added it to the wholesale group
the image tab is where u add additional images to product page, the default main image is added in the data tab, the image tab is strictly for adding aditional images
after all changes or edits have been made dont forget to save, blue icon top right hand
how to add related products to a product
click on the link tab for the poduct then start typing the name of the item u would like to link to. a relatively easy way of doing this is find the item on the main site, copy the name of item and paste it in, you will see a drop down menu like the one above click the item to add it. do this for all items u want to link to
how to edit more than one product at a time
bulk editor pro is what u use to edit groups of products or categorys all at once
to get to this tool use the modules tab, then find the bulk editor and click on the blue edit icon on the left hand side
you will then see this page
the top row is where you type the products or categorys you would like to edit, click on items to add them to be edited.
the middle row is where you elete existing settings from items, befor you edit something its a good idea to use this menu to delete the existing setting befor adding new ones
the bottom row is where you add the new settings you would like to have all the items to have, this is where u change prices for say all the 4x4 decals or all the 2x2 decals etc
important things to knonw when editing more than one product at a time
delete the existing price, options, wholesale discount before updating to new ones
always backup first incase you mess up, this is done from the tools tab on the main admin page. see image below

how to add a customer to wholesale list
when a new user registers a new account, you have to add them to the wholesale group, to do this go to the sales tab and click on customers
to add customer to the wholesale group click on the blue icon with the pencil
(this is the edit tool)

click the customer group and choose wholesale group, the oter tabs are self explanatory and just tell you about that coustumers browsing, order and ip history
important things to know about wholesale group
by setting a discount price in the product settings and assigning it to the wholesale group, you basicaly told the computer when this customer logs in he get the price set in the discout tab,
VERY IMPORTANT THE MASS PRODUCT UPDATER CAN TAKE PRECENTAGES WHICH FOR THIS SITE WE HAVE SET AT %50 initally BUT THAT DID THE MATH TO PUT ALL THE NEW PRICES IN IT IS NOT SETTING 50% OFF. SO EVERYTIME YOU CHANGE THE PRODUCT PRICE YOU HAVE TO SET THE PRICE

how to add a product to homepage featured section
Your featured section on you homepage is where you list you most popular items or any items you would like you visitors to see.
To add products to your feature section, click on extensions then click on modules tab
scroll down till you see the module named featured featured home page, click edit
type the name of the product you would like to add keep in mind delete something before you add, otherwise you will end up with to many products here, as you start typing the first few letters you should begin to see you results, when u see the item you are looking for click it to add it.. so subtract lick the dark circle with the minus sign in it
what is RSP cloud
Your RSP cloud is your own cloud that resides on your website, it is run and made possible by a open source plug in called your cloud, its a plug in like opencart and your web host supports it and even sells a version, think drop box but on your server, I set this up so that you could download the desktop clients and sync all your files in the office and so that any computer in the office can have the same files on them, as well as once you set them up all files are keep up to date with the most recent changes. You will need to google and read up more on this, for now I have used this service to keep the files I used adn worked on to make this site.

once logged in you can send anyone files you upload by clicking on the paper clip icon and click on share link, you can then right click on the link and copy and past it. you can also password protect the file
